The NATS Southern Region is an entity of The National Association of Teachers of Singing. The region comprises more than 200 voice professionals from the states of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
The region's annual conference is held on the second weekend of November at university campuses located throughout the three states. The event consists of a pre-conference board meeting and dinner; student auditions; recitals and master classes by visiting artists; and a faculty banquet.

James Ronald Brothers Distinguished Achievement in Accompanying Award
Each year members of the Southern Region are encouraged to nominate qualified collaborative pianists for the James Ronald Brothers Distinguished Achievement in Accompanying Award. Read more
Southern Region Governor's Award
Each year during the finals of the regional auditions, the current region governor and past region governors assess the performances of the first place winners from classifications seven (junior women) through sixteen (older advanced men) to determine whether an additional recognition should be made for one who “shows the greatest promise of having a professional career” in performance.
